FAQ
Questions collectors ask
Which platforms are supported?
+
All of them. PlayStation 1 to 5, PSP and Vita, every Xbox, every Nintendo home console and handheld from NES to Switch 2, Sega from Master System to Dreamcast, PC, Steam, Mac, Linux, Neo Geo, Amiga, Commodore 64, Atari, arcade, Evercade, iOS and Android. You can also type any platform name.
Where do covers and scores come from?
+
Titles, covers, synopses, genres, developers and release dates come from IGDB, a database of more than 76,000 games. Metacritic scores and trailers come from RAWG. If a game is missing you can still add it by title and upload your own cover.
How does photo identification work?
+
You photograph the front (and optionally the back) of the box, or a whole shelf. A vision model transcribes the printed title, platform logo and region marks, and the app matches them to the database. Each candidate shows a confidence level and you confirm before anything is added.
Is the free plan really free?
+
Yes. Starter has no time limit and no card. It is capped at 50 games and a few AI searches per month. If you outgrow it, Collector is €4.99 a month or €39 a year.
Can I import my existing spreadsheet?
+
Yes, on Collector and Curator: a CSV with at least title and platform columns. Status, format, region, condition, price and date are optional. Every plan can export to CSV.
Are the values real prices?
+
They are estimates. Where a market price exists for a title it is used; otherwise the app uses platform averages and your own expected sale price, clearly labelled. It is a guide, not a valuation.
Does it work on my phone?
+
Yes. The app is responsive and the camera features are designed for phones. Barcode scanning with the camera works in Chrome and Android; on iPhone you type the digits.
Where is my data stored and who can see it?
+
In the EU (Paris region), with row-level security so only you can read your collection. We never sell data. Analytics on the public site runs only with your consent. You can export or delete everything from Settings.
Can I cancel any time?
+
Yes, from Plan & billing. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period and does not renew. Your data stays; if you are over the Starter limit you keep everything but cannot add more until you upgrade again.
What happens to the AI features if I use them a lot?
+
Each plan includes a monthly number of AI searches and identifications. When you reach it, filters and manual search keep working; the counter resets on the 1st of the month.
Is Games Library affiliated with Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft?
+
No. Platform names and colours are used only to identify formats. Games Library is an independent service from Spain.
Which languages are available?
+
English and Spanish, for the website and the app. Switch at any time from the language selector.
