Why collect for Dreamcast
Dreamcast had a short life in Europe and one of the most prized libraries in collecting. Its PAL games have risen sharply in value, and complete copies, with an unbroken case and manual, are in high demand.
PAL editions in Spain
The European version can be recognised by the blue swirl logo, instead of the orange one used in Japan and the United States. Shenmue II came out on Dreamcast in Europe but not in the United States, so the PAL version is in high demand.
What to look for
- Complete copies with the original case free of cracks.
- Late games from 2001, with fewer copies around.
- Complete multi-disc games, such as Shenmue.
