Game Gear games
What the Sega Game Gear games on Games Library are worth and where to find them cheapest.
Why collect for Game Gear
Game Gear was Sega's colour handheld. Its loose cartridges are affordable, but complete cardboard boxes are scarce, and the console itself often needs its screen or capacitors repaired.
PAL editions in Spain
Many Game Gear games are versions of Master System ones, and there's an adapter that lets you use Master System cartridges on the handheld. Copies with box and manual are scarce: most were played on the go and got lost.
What to look for
- Complete boxes with manual.
- Late-life games, from 1995 onwards.
- Cartridges with the label in good condition.
There aren't enough Game Gear games on Games Library yet to give reliable values and prices. As soon as collectors add theirs, they'll show up here.
