Why collect for Game Boy

Game Boy is the best-loved handheld of the nineties. Almost its entire library is affordable as loose cartridges; the value lies in complete cardboard boxes, with their plastic protector and manual, and in the first Pokémon games.

PAL editions in Spain

In Europe many games were reissued as Nintendo Classics, cheaper than the first edition. Spanish boxes carry the region code (ESP or EUR), and in Spain Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow were sold as Edición Roja, Azul and Amarilla.

What to look for

  • Complete boxes with protector and manual.
  • First editions versus Nintendo Classics.
  • Genuine Pokémon games in good condition.
