Why collect for PS2

PS2 is one of the best-selling consoles of all time, which is why almost its entire library is cheap. The interest lies in the short-run gems, in the RPGs and horror games that reached Europe in small numbers, and in complete copies in good condition, which are getting harder and harder to find.

PAL editions in Spain

The Spanish release of a game comes in the black case with Spanish cover art and a Spanish manual. Budget reissues have the silver Platinum frame and are worth less than the original cover. Titles such as Rule of Rose or Haunting Ground are usually among the most expensive PAL releases.

What to look for

Original cover versus Platinum.
Complete copies, with manual and a scratch-free disc.
RPGs, horror games and Japanese oddities released in Europe in short runs.
