Xbox One X

The 2017 high-end model, formerly Project Scorpio: Scorpio Engine chip, a 6-teraflop GPU and 12 GB of GDDR5 for 4K gaming.

Microsoft teased the console at E3 2016 as Project Scorpio and unveiled it as Xbox One X at E3 2017. It launched on November 7, 2017, with 1 TB at $499. It was built mainly to render games in 4K and to make existing games run better. Pre-order customers could get the Project Scorpio Edition, with a dark gradient finish and green inscriptions.

Its Scorpio Engine chip pairs eight cores at 2.3 GHz with a 40-compute-unit Radeon GPU at 1172 MHz, about 6 teraflops. It has 12 GB of GDDR5, 9 GB of it for games, and vapour-chamber cooling. It runs the whole Xbox One library, and games labelled Xbox One X Enhanced make use of its extra power. It was positioned as a rival to the PlayStation 4 Pro. Production ended in July 2020.
